A Special Achievement at the Staffords Winter Pairs

Congratulations to Mick and Mick from Bega Club on their impressive second-place finish in Division 1 of the Staffords Winter Pairs. It was a fantastic result that reflects the high standard of bowls on display across what sounds like a tremendous weekend of competition.

Adding a meaningful touch to their appearance, the pair wore Dicky Cock Memorial shirts as a heartfelt tribute to one of the district’s former great characters. It was a lovely way to honour his memory while competing at a high level, blending the spirit of the game with a genuine sense of community and respect.

Moments like these are a reminder of what makes lawn bowls so special – not just the competition, but the camaraderie, the traditions, and the connections that bring people together on and off the green.
